Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching tem everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. Matthew 28:19-20

Antidote

Titus 3 v 3-7

Some ways of living life are just plain toxic

Not at all good for you.

Paul writes to Titus as to Timothy calling him “my true son”

He tells him of the disease to which there is only one cure

Foolishness malice and envy provides the context

Within which hatred and division flourish.

This is no casual lapse of attitude

A moment on the dark side

This is a way of life, and it is destructive.

Do I hear a ‘but’ coming?

“But when the kindness and love of God our saviour appeared......”

This “but” is charged with the power to deliver from destructive patterns

Victims may not have consciously sinned, but are subject to its influence all the same.

When hinged around kindness and love instead of hatred and division, life is bound to improve.

Even giving future hope.

In this, we need to also embrace Jesus as our role model as well.

Those who claim to walk in the truth must live as Jesus did.

Which may mean, in the coming new year, we do things differently.
