Sometimes it seems that bad stuff happens.
However, the “happening” does not seem to be the real test.
Your response is the test.
Naturally, you long to be on the other side of it all
Back to calmer waters, tranquil pastures.
The way things were.
Whatever happened to Psalm 23......
Fighting the circumstances could be the right thing
But whether you do, there is a strategy you can employ
Difficult to do, but helpful all the same.
Give yourself into the hands of him who judges all things justly
Trust your heart to him in the middle of the storm.
And don't back down to the enemy's temptations
Because he will have you focussed on all sorts of gods.
In doing all this , you may discover something
That, in the end, all you stood to lose was your bonds.
And not even the smell of the trial remains upon you.
Just the beautiful testimony of your own deliverance.
