Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching tem everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. Matthew 28:19-20

Vision

(Proverbs 29:18 KJV)

Not far from where I live there are some old Farm buildings

Visible from the road

There is a big sign on them which says something like:

“Stunning new development”

If you saw it, you would probably think ,like me

“That takes a lot of imagination”

Because it looks nothing like

What it is destined to become.

Somebody, clearly, has a vision.

The bible says that “Where there is no vision, the people perish”

Which is an interesting concept

Especially as the word Perish means

“To become naked” or as the NIV puts it “Cast off restraint”

The Visions (Revelations) of God to us are by nature, redemptive.

They clothe us with hope for a future.

I find it hard to absorb this

Without these heavenly moments.

Right now, the old Farm it looks like it has lacked a vision for some while

Dilapidated, un-glorious, naked.

God can give us a vision of what we are to become because he sees us that way now.

He will show us - even a glimpse.

It comes through a Bible verse, an encouragement from a friend, a prophecy, a hug.

I see it once more

And once more I understand that he will do it.

You and I are not yet all that we are to become

But, we will be.
