Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching tem everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. Matthew 28:19-20

Sleep Deprivation

(Matthew 11:28-30)

Lack of sleep is not good.

Whether you are a full 8 hour person

Or somebody who could run the country on 4 hours a night

It’s the quality that counts.

So, here is something that came my way after a period of poor quality sleep:

The writer had been considering the local marketing at a mattress store.

“As I listened to the promises and guarantees for a perfect sleep, I couldn't help but wonder how a better mattress would cure the restless spirit that keeps people awake at night.

Will a new mattress help the young family's wage earner sleep well when the company for which they are working is closing?

Does a good mattress guarantee the sleep of a parent who is concerned about a sick child, or a senior whose partner has died and who is facing the dark night hours alone?

No, there are no such guarantees in the local mattress store for these situations, but I know where there is one. Jesus has invited us to come to Him and to learn from Him, and we will find true rest, guaranteed rest for our souls”
