Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching tem everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. Matthew 28:19-20

Snakebite

(Acts 28 v 3 -5)

Paul survives again....

But here is an interesting picture.

The snake is driven out by the heat and bites.

Even though this was not the devil himself, as described in Revelation

But the ordinary kind spoken of by Jesus in an amazing promise

It is still, nonetheless a picture of the way satan works.

Always ready to strike when the fire is up

To bring some poison into our souls

And kill our passion for Jesus.

We know that satan is our enemy

But, defeated.

Unable to harm our fellowship unless we allow it by making provision or welcoming little foxes

So the next time the old serpent tries it on

Stand firm.

Emulate what Jesus did in the wilderness

Shake him off

And don’t let your fire go out.
