(Psalm 51 v 6)
Maybe it's just me
But its great fun to explore deep doctrine
Yes, fun.
Because you never know where your journey will take you.
Pre millennial or post?
The kingdom coming, or here now, or both? ( but how does this work?)
Is all of the book of Revelation future?
Typology in the Old Testament
Are there really Apostles today or just apostolic ministry?
What does the church really look like?
Whenever I get on one of these trips, God lets me have the fun?but then it always ends with the same issue.
Truth is firstly, pre-eminently about Jesus.
And the truth, as the psalmist said, is required in the innermost part.
And the truth in my innermost part makes uncomfortable company with falsehood.
Which is why I have to be honest about me.
Learning to never pretend about anything when his gaze is so penetrating but so loving.
We are who we are - broken people but beautiful to God.
Works in progress, slowly emerging out of the expectations of others, defying preconceived ideas to become who we really are
To pretend otherwise is a kind of insanity.
I challenge you today to define yourself by this truth and by no other:
" I am a beloved child of God".
And let it sink into your innermost being.
