Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching tem everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. Matthew 28:19-20

Quiet Servanthood

(Proverbs 8v34)

Here is a picture of waiting

Expectation that wisdom will speak - that Jesus will speak

In no hurry at all to rush off and get busy.

"Blessed is the man who listens to me"

Waiting at the doorway, listening for the stirring voice

That will come from within the chamber.

The voice of instruction, of wise counsel.

There is another sense here.

That there is a searching for the Master.

"Whoever finds me, finds life and receives favour from the Lord"

It is hard to receive anything when you are afar off.

That is why to draw near and listen is so important.

The world has lost the art - it's too busy to listen.

BUSY

I am told that being busy is a good thing.

Is it the same as "bearing fruit".

Well, let's regain the art of waiting for the Lord

At least then, we will know the difference.
