Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching tem everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. Matthew 28:19-20

Crossing Over

(Matthew 14 v 22 & 34)

To go on any journey is only advisable if undertaken with the Master.

We are on a lifelong journey,

Which requires us to be open to his voice so we do not lose heart.

Jesus has sent us, just as the Father sent him.

Sheep amongst wolves, maybe

But also as salt, light and fruit bearers.

Sometimes it seems we will not make it

That despite all we do, the weather is against us.

Sometimes, crazy moments of outlandish faith colour the grey palette of our fears.

Jesus, however, has already made up his mind as to the outcome.

The instruction to "go" is already with predetermined thoughts of the arrival.

Because, we will make it.

God has said it, and has chosen us - the object of his affection.

And, as proof, he comes to our aid again and again.

He initiated, and he will finish what he began.

How we respond during a temporary storm,

Will not determine how he feels about us.

He determined that long ago.

In a world of insanity, the greatest madness is to cease to believe in his faithfulness.

You will make it.

Do not lose heart.
