(1 Kings 3)
Solomon the son of David was serving God the best way he knew how.
Except for one way
He worshipped on the high places - but this was not where this should have taken place.
But there was no place for the Lord to dwell
No house for Him
Where he could be lifted up and worshipped.
Then, one day, while sacrificing at Gibeon, Solomon had his encounter.
Just like Jacob, it was a dream, but God speaks in dreams.
In an imperfect place, which gives hope.
Solomon asked for wisdom
And this wisdom, he used to rule and to build.
So, the temple for the Lord was built with Godly wisdom
And after this, God spoke for a second time.
He told Solomon that "My eyes and my heart will always be there"
In the temple.
Our hearts are the temple now.
With Godly wisdom we should build.
This temple for His name
So that His eyes, and His heart will always be there.
