Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching tem everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. Matthew 28:19-20

Dry Times

( Hosea 2 V 14 - 17, Exodus 4 v 27, 8 v 27 )

There is a place that nobody would choose to visit

Even for a short time

Or for a specific purpose

But it is a place that is very special to God

And from time to time He may call us to join him there

For a short time or a specific purpose

That place is called

The Desert.

A place where our usual reference points are gone

And our normal comforts are not really comforting.

Where the surroundings seem so dry

And there is no immediate sense of hope

Or of rescue

It is a place however, that God appointed Aaron to meet Moses

The very help needed - just before a great deliverance.

Where God said that his people should worship him

Where God said he would restore our vineyards

And turn our trouble into hope.

Dry times?

It may be The Desert,

But it can be such a special place.
