Alpha is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed setting over ten thought-provoking weekly sessions, with a day or weekend away.

The Anti-Bullying Alliance (ABA) was founded by NSPCC and National Children's Bureau in 2002. It is hosted and supported by NCB. The Alliance brings together over 65 organisations into one network with the aim of reducing bullying and creating safer environments in which children and young people can live, grow, play and learn.

Simple things can change the world around you. And Bands is one of them: a Christian support group in the place you spend most of your time - at work.  A Band will encourage you, and help you to encourage others. But it could take you beyond that - helping to change you, your fellow members and your place of work.  Bands is loosely based on John Wesley's idea that Christians are better equipped to live radical, honest and accountable lives if they meet regularly in small groups. Today, they have proved immensely helpful to many workers, as you'll see from some of the stories on this site.

Some years ago his song, "We want to see Jesus lifted high", was chosen as the theme song for the Global March for Jesus event and sung by some 25 million people in 176 countries. Doug is a recording artist signed to EMI/Kingsway and he has written many other songs that have become children's favourites in churches across the planet.

Hope 2008 is an initiative of the churches of Britain and Ireland which is helping to demonstrate Christian faith in action and to explain the meaning of that faith in villages, towns and cities throughout the UK.

The big idea of Hope 08 is to inspire and encourage churches to take part in mission throughout the year of 2008 bringing younger and older Christians together to serve our communities powerfully and effectively.

Horsforth Churches Together will seek to engage with our community through a range of activities throughout the year.

There are many exciting plans for the year in Leeds including a Mission Hub where 120 young people will be working with local churches undertaking social action projects to show Gods love in practical ways to the local community.

Hope in the park (HITP) is an event based in Horsforth’s Hall Park , over a series of 4 afternoons spanning June and July, providing a free BBQ, music, chill out area, labyrinth/meditation/prayer area, with child and youth activities.  Except for when we join the Gala all the HITP events are on a Sunday.  With the backing of Horsforth Churches Together, we are hoping that the event will be supported by all the churches in Horsforth as a visible display of serving our community.
